Tibet Travel Agency Expands Low Cost Tour Options

Lhasa based Tibet travel agency, Tibet Ctrip Travel Service-TCTS (http://www.tibetctrip.com), is helping travelers avoid the hassles of large group tours with its new and improved Tibet budget tours. TCTS organizes groups of up to 10 people by matching small travel groups, lowering the cost per person while preserving the comfort and flexibility of a private tour. The latest addition to TCTSs lineup of new budget tours is the Tibet Landscape and Cultural Discovery Tour. Over seven days, travelers will visit world-famous Tibetan cultural and historical sites in addition to enjoying Tibets stunning mountain beauty.

Once travelers arrive in the Lhasa their native Tibetan guide will accompany them on the airport shuttle to Lhasa. After settling in at their hotel, the travel group is advised to rest and relax while acclimatizing to the altitude. Over the first day of sightseeing, travelers will visit top Tibet attractions like Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. On the second day, the travel group will take a biking tour of Lhasa that makes stops at the Tibet Museum, Norbulinka, and Sera Monastery.

After sightseeing in and around Lhasa, the travel group spends time getting in touch with the scenery. First, the Tibet tour visits Lake Namtso and Yangpachen Geothermal Spring. The following day travelers head for Gyantse and Shigatse, making a stop at Lake Yamdrok on the way. Places like Lake Yamdrok and Lake Namtso are certainly beautiful, however, the drive to and from these magnificent places is filled with even more fantastic scenery. Travelers will have several opportunities to stop for pictures! While enjoying the scenery, travelers will learn about Tibetan Buddhism at places like Pelkhor Monastery and Kumbum Pagoda in Gyantse, then at Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse.

After spending the night in Shigatse, travelers return to Lhasa where they will have free time to explore and shop in Barkhor Bazaar. The following day, the groups native Tibetan guide will accompany them to the airport shuttle stop. This 7-day tour is packed with stunning scenery and countless opportunities to learn about Tibetan culture and history. Instead of packing travelers in with 20-30 other people, TCTS organizes group tours in a way that minimizes costs while still providing the most authentic Tibet travel experience possible. Departure dates are first come first served; travelers are advised to start planning their tour now.
